Wine and Whales
900am – 530pm
Discover the splendors of Nova Scotia’s South shore with a tour that encompasses the best of the province – whales and wine.
Begin the day cruising one of Nova Scotia’s most scenic areas, Mahone Bay with South Shore Boat Tours. See a myriad of wildlife such as local shorebirds, seals, porpoises and perhaps even the majestic humpbacked whale on this three hour excursion. The captain will entertain you with history and stories from the area and take you to the best whale watching spots.
Then enjoy a two course gourmet lunch at one of Nova Scotia’s premier dining spots – Oak Island Inn. Relax in the dining room or on the patio and take in the panoramic views of Oak Island and Mahone Bay while you dine. And don’t forget to pair your meal with a glass of exceptional Nova Scotia wine!
Finally, visit Lunenburg County Winery, nestled on a drumlin amidst blueberry bushes and grapevines. The winery specializes in fruit wines and with names like Sou’wester Strawberry and Razilly Raspberry, you’re sure to find tasting these wines a fun and delicious experience. The winery also produces estate grown grape wines like Halifax Citadel Red and South Shore Seyval to add to the wine lover’s experience.
