930am – 530pm
Nova Scotia doesn’t just produce award-winning wines! This tour opens your eyes to the whole spectrum of what can be produced here. Try delicious apple ciders, award-winning sparkling wines, port, dessert wines and of course, icewine!
The first stop is Noggins Corner Farm where they’re creating refreshing and crisp apple ciders - a tradition that began in Nova Scotia by French settlers nearly 400 years ago. Crafted by locally grown apples, ciders are becoming more popular as an alternative to wine to be enjoyed on their own or with a variety of foods. After tasting their five varieties, you’ll understand why!
Next, visit the superb Domaine de Grand Pre Winery with its breath-taking views of the Bay of Fundy. Enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds while you tour the vineyard followed by a tasting in the gift shop. A special two course gourmet lunch will be served in the Le Caveau Restaurant or on their vine-covered pergola accompanied by perfectly paired wines, of course!
Then visit Nova Scotia's premier sparkling wine producer, L'Acadie Vineyards. With 24 years of winemaking experience, this winery has won national acclaim and many prestigious awards for their wines. Learn about Traditional Method Sparkling and why it is ideally suited to Nova Scotia's cool climate terroir. Taste their hand crafted wines and find their entire portfolio available in the wineshop.
The last stop is Gaspereau Vineyards, a small boutique winery in the heart of the Gaspereau Valley. Have a guided tour of this pretty vineyard with fantastic views of the countryside and sample some delightful wines including their unique Maple Wine, award-winning Reserve Port and Icewine.
