A special tour created to celebrate Apple Blossom Festival May 27-31, 2010. Stroll through orchards and vineyards, sample superb ciders and wines and savour extra-ordinary apple inspired cuisine while surrounded by the natural beauty of the Annapolis Valley as it comes to life with Apple Blossoms.

The first stop is Noggins Corner Farm where they’re creating refreshing and crisp apple ciders - a tradition that began in Nova Scotia by French settlers nearly 400 years ago. Crafted by locally grown apples, ciders are becoming more popular as an alternative to wine to be enjoyed on their own or with a variety of foods. After tasting their delicious varieties, you’ll understand why!

Next, visit the superb Domaine de Grand Pre Winery with its breath-taking views of the Bay of Fundy. Enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds while you tour the vineyard followed by a special tasting in the gift shop. You’ll try the Stutz Hard Cider and some lovely wines but you may fall in love with Pomme D’Or – a dessert wine made with six varieties of Annapolis Valley apples. Then, a special two course gourmet lunch will be served in the Le Caveau Restaurant or on their vine-covered pergola! 

Then visit Nova Scotia's premier sparkling wine producer, L'Acadie Vineyards. With 24 years of winemaking experience, this winery has won national acclaim and many prestigious awards for their wines. Learn about Traditional Method Sparkling and why it is ideally suited to Nova Scotia's cool climate terroir. Taste their hand crafted wines and find their entire portfolio available in the wineshop. 

The last stop of the day is the enchanting Tangled Garden where herbs and fruit are transformed into mouth-watering trimmings to enhance simple fare or gourmet meals. Find everything for your table from Apple Sage Jelly, Apple Thyme Sauce, or Apple Mint Chutney. Or try any of the myriad of products made with all sorts of fruit and herbs!!
