About Go North Tours

Laila North's work experience makes the creation of Go North Tours a natural progression. She spent three years in the liquor industry in Calgary, including working for Ernest & Julio Gallo Wines which unleashed her passion for wine. She then worked four years in the tourism industry as a travel agent in Winnipeg. During that time she also worked for three seasons as a tour guide escorting groups to see the Polar Bears in Churchill, a job that inspired her to become a tour guide full-time. In 2008 she moved to Nova Scotia and her enthusiasm for her new home was immediate. She is excited to share her knowledge with others and to show off Nova Scotia's award-winning wineries.

Go North Tours was created in January, 2009 with the vision of becoming the premier company conducting winery tours in Nova Scotia. By working closely with the wineries and The Wine Association of Nova Scotia, the goal is to give you an extraordinary look at Nova Scotia wine country with a company that has a vested interest in the growth of the industry and give you the dedicated customer service that only a small tour company can offer. With just 8 people on each tour travelling in a spacious air-conditioned passenger van, you get friendly, personalized service and a comfortably paced daytrip. With unique tours to choose from, you're sure to find something to love in Nova Scotia wine country!
