About Go North Tours

Laila North’s spent time in the liquor industry in Calgary working for Ernest & Julio Gallo Wines. She has also worked in the tourism industry as a travel agent and a tour guide escorting groups to see the Polar Bears in Churchill, a job that inspired her to become a tour guide full-time. In 2008 she moved to Nova Scotia and the creation of Go North Tours was a natural progression.

Go North Tours began in January 2009 with the vision of becoming the premier company offering wine tours from Halifax and Wolfville. By working closely with the wineries and being an Associate Member of the Wine Association of Nova Scotia, the goal is to give you an extraordinary look at Nova Scotia wine country with great customer service that only a small tour company can offer. With just 8 people on each tour travelling in a spacious air-conditioned passenger van, you get friendly, personalized service and a comfortably paced daytrip. With unique tours to choose from, you’re sure to find something to love in Nova Scotia wine country! 

People think that taking a tour is stuffy and boring when, in fact, it can be loads of fun! With a small group you quickly make friends and what better way to enjoy wine, than with friends!  Plus, it’s the responsible way to visit our wineries. Each sample of wine is about one ounce, so by the time you’ve finished one wine tasting, you’ve had a glass of wine. So sit back, relax, enjoy that wine and leaving the driving to us!
